Louis Vuitton Pacific Series, anche SUI-100 è in acqua

Louis Vuitton Pacific Series – Valencia – Sono iniziati ieri mattina a Valencia gli allenamenti di Alinghi in vista delle Louis Vuitton Pacific Series. I test dell’equipaggio svizzero, impegnato su SUI-100, continueranno sino al 20-22 gennaio davanti alla spiaggia della Malvarrosa.
Ed Baird, nominato timoniere per la trasferta neozelandese, ha spiegato cosa farà il team nel corso della settimana: “Ci siamo riuniti per preparare le Louis Vuitton Pacific Series. E’ la prima volra che regato assieme ad altre barche di Coppa da quando abbiamo vinto nel 2007. Al Trofeo Desafio Espanol, che abbiamo vinto, non sono riuscito ad aggregarmi al team e assieme ad altri ragazzi, anch’essi assenti, stiamo cercando di ricordare come si fa”.

LOUIS VUITTON PACIFIC SERIES, SUI-100 TRAINING IN VALENCIA
[Alinghi Press Release] Alinghi started training today in Valencia on SUI-100, the 32nd America’s Cup winning yacht. The team will continue training over the next few days off Malvarrosa beach in preparation for the LVPS which starts on 30 January in Auckland, New Zealand.
Ed Baird, helmsman for the regatta in New Zealand, explains what the team is doing here this week: “We’ve got the team together in Valencia to try to prepare for the LVPS. It’s the first day sailing together in the Cup boat as a full team since we won the America’s Cup in 2007. The boat raced and won the ACC class of the CNEV annual regatta but I wasn’t able to come and a couple of the other guys weren’t here either so we are trying to remember how!”
