Talamone – A quick handover from the just concluded Melges 32 racing this past weekend to the Melges 20: one of the most competitive and highly represented One Design fleet in the international scenario.

Talamone will be hosting another great weekend of Sailing Series® racing, series managed by B.Plan Sport&Events along with Melges Europe and the local Circolo della Vela. (Yacht Club).

Teams have already started checking up the race course that during the last Melges 32 races has offered great wind and prized Goransson’s Inga from Sweden team with tactician Vascotto for its consistency.

These coming races will see all favourite teams above all Section 16 (Davies-Rast), unprecedented leader of the previous acts in Porto Venere and Porto Ercole. Richard Davies’ crew will have to watch out for teams like Out of Reach (Miani-Benussi) and Pinta (Illbruck-Kostecki), but also Stig (Rombelli-Weller), first on the podium in Porto Ercole, Raya (Marenghi Vaselli-Franci) and Russyan Bogatyrs, with helmsman Igor Rytov.

The World Championship, the seasonal’s top notch event taking place in Scarlino at the end of August will be adding that challenging value to this event, penultimate step of the series.

As the previous weekend races are scheduled Friday-Sunday with a total of 8 races under a foreseen medium light breeze: a 8-14 knots Scirocco breeze will be replacing on Friday the foreseen light breeze.
