World Yacht Racing Forum – Estoril – Presente all’Estoril per presenziare alla presentazione ufficiale del circuito Extreme Sailing Series 2011, Zerogradinord.it si tratterrà in Portogallo un paio di giorni al fine di assistere ad alcuni dei meeting organizzati nell’ambito della terza edizione del World Yacht Racing Forum, simposio dedicato al mondo dell’agonismo velico ormai considerato evento di riferimento di ogni stagione sportiva.

In programma a partire da domani mattina, il forum si articolerà su diversi dibattiti animati da alcuni dei volti più conosciuti della vela internazionale. Interventi utili per fare il punto della situazione sul mondo delle sponsorizzazioni sportive, sull’universo dell’organizzazione eventi e per capire come può la vela reggere il confronto con i cosiddetti sport maggiori. E poi ancora quale futuro per i principali eventi velici e come si possono creare partnership tra il mondo della vela e alcuni dei marchi più noti.

Interessante si annuncia il dibattito sulla Coppa America e su quali ripercussioni il nuovo formato avrà sul mondo dello yachting internazionale.

Tra coloro che saranno chiamati a intervenire sul palco Loick Peyron, James Spithill, Knut Frostad e Mark Turner oltre a una serie di autorevoli relatori provenienti da altri ambiti sportivi che racconteranno come determinate problematiche sono state affrontate e risolte.

WORLD YACHT RACING FORUM, EXPECTATION ARE RISING AHEAD OF THIRD EDITION
[World Yacht Racing Forum Press Release] The long awaited World Yacht Racing Forum, co-located with the Yacht Racing Design and Technology Symposium and the International Superyacht Coatings Conference will begin tomorrow morning in Estoril, Portugal.

Some of the international yacht racing industry’s key issues will be debated over the next two days and the expectations are rising amongst the numerous delegates. This year’s hot issues include the future of international yacht racing from a commercial perspective. How can sailing compete for sponsorship against mainstream sports? What is the future for sailing’s premier events? How can sailing events create brand partnerships? Those are some of the many questions that will be debated by the a panel of experts over the next two days.

The speakers include well known names such as James Spithill, Loïck Peyron, Knut Frostad, Mark Turner, as well as speakers and panellists from outside of the sport who will share their views on ways in which sailing and yacht racing can learn from other major global disciplines.

The future of some of the sport’s iconic events will also be debated with a session focusing on the next Olympic Games and our sport’s sustainability as an Olympic discipline, followed by a debate on the new America’s Cup format and the repercussions it will have on international yacht racing.

Besides the official sessions, the World Yacht Racing Forum will once again offer unparalleled networking opportunities and a unique possibility to meet representatives from other disciplines in an informal way, to discuss, debate and sometimes even negotiate the sport’s future.
