Genova – Winner of the forth act of the M32 Series Mediterranean is Italia Sailing Team with helmsman Riccardo Simoneschi from Genoa himself and member of the historical Yacht Club Italiano with crew Lorenzo Bressani, Andrea Tesei and Holger Tidemand.
Very good performance also for Italian FFC helmed by Olympian Vittorio Bissaro – penalised by 2 points on race 4. Third place for Richard Davies’ Section 16 with tactician Manuel Modena, forth place Håkan Svensson’s Cape Crow Vikings closing up the ranking Guido Miani from Monaco with tactician Gabrio Zandonà, 470 world champion.
We have experienced a great final day at the international Genoa Boat Show thanks to favourable wind conditions blowing 8-10 knots that allowed the super fast catamarans to express their qualities to their best.
Start and finish line were set 10 meters off the boat show breakwater, the attending audience have enjoyed the great performance these catamarans can offer also thanks to the live commentary by Mediaset tv journalist Stefano Vegliani.
Also today some “hot seat” guests have take part in free catamarans rides thanks to the contest organised by the boat show.
The best of this weekend will be broadcasted on the sailing tv program The Boat Show live every Thursday at 8 pm on Sky Sport followed by many sailing lovers as well as on its YouTube page.
Event photos are already available on the Sailing Series Facebook page and on Monday also the Best of video.
Next and final act of the M32 Series Mediterranean will be 7-9 October in Ibiza, confirmed already the dates for the winter championship and the next 2017 season. Stay tuned for further updates!
