Value Team di Benedetto Giallongo, numero 01 a prua e ritornato leader di circuito, ha come sempre gli occhi di tutti puntati addosso: c’è da capire se la potenza del team campione di circuito 2009 è la stessa, devastante, esibita nell’ultimo appuntamento di Scarlino o se Value Team è in realtà più “normale”, avvicinabile e vulnerabile, così come emerso dalla classifica della prima tappa di Lerici.

Notaro Team di Luca Domenici è di certo il più solido e costante nella flotta, con prestazioni che determinano sempre, per il timoniere romano, risultati da podio ma non di vittoria, in assenza di quel pizzico di fortuna che può fare la differenza anche per chi il talento ce l’ha. Notaro Team è “francobollato” al leader di circuito a dimostrazione del fatto che chiunque voglia ipotizzare un’ascesa al vertice deve prima fare i conti con questo equipaggio che sbaglia pochissimo.

Capace di far molto male agli avversari è il vincitore della prima tappa, Turnover di Renato Vallivero; non il più veloce a carburare nelle prime prove di ogni tappa, Turnover è assolutamente incontenibile ed impossibile da stoppare una volta trovato il giusto ritmo. Se in questa occasione il team di Vallivero sarà capace di una partenza dai blocchi pari agli avversai, avrà poi vita facile nello scatenare i cavalli nelle proprie consuete progressioni.

Hulk di Stefano Di Properzio, Reggini Sailing Team di Francesco Farneti (i due migliori rookie fino ad oggi), Sei Tu 20 di Marco Morina e Calvi Network di Carlo Alberini sono alcuni tra gli equipaggi più quotati, attesi al primo successo assoluto nell’Audi Melges 20 Sailing Series, nella cui equilibrata flotta, al termine di ogni giornata di regata, può spuntare il nome di un outsider.
